Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approached the people of the country to rate the performance of the four years of his government – in a technological manner.

On Saturday, Modi requested all Indians to rate the four years of his government and to take part in a survey through the NaMo app. Apart from the performance of the BJP-led coalition at the Centre, Modi is also asking people to rate the functioning of the MPs and MLAs in their constituencies.

“It is your voice that counts! Tell me what you feel about the working of the central government, its initiatives and the development work in your constituency. Take part in this survey on the NaMo app,” Modi tweeted asking people to participate in the survey.

According to the details provided by officials and other sources, the survey also asks people to name the three most popular leaders of the BJP within their states and their constituencies. The survey also asks people to rate the three identified leaders on the basis of parameters such as availability, honesty, humility and popularity.

Sources also said that people would be able to the evaluate the performance of the central government as well as that of some of the flagship schemes initiated by the government. They said that the aim of conducting this survey before the 2019 parliamentary elections is to get an idea of what the majority of people are thinking about the government, respective states and constituencies.

The people participating in the survey would be able to list their prime considerations when they vote as well rating the work of their MPs and MLAs. The sources further said the condition of various amenities and the available infrastructure within their constituency would also be topics on which the respondents would be able to give their opinion.

Sources said that the government has attempted to gain a wholesome understanding of the mood of the people and that is the reason aspects like the flagship programmes of the central government as well as local MPs and MLAs have been included in the survey. This is the reason why this survey is being accorded importance by the BJP as a party prior to the Lok Sabha polls next year.

The Narendra Modi App has been previously used by the prime minister as a platform of interaction with the people in general as well as the members and functionaries of the party.

The sources further noted that on earlier occasions, such as in a survey hosted at the time of demonetization, there were millions of participants. That survey was carried out in November of 2016 just after demonetization.
