Gulbarga: Helmets compulsory from 24 November
The city police are all set to make helmets mandatory in Gulbarga/Kalaburagi citizens from 24 November.
IGP Hold a Traffic Safety Awareness Program at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Chowk (Timmapuri Chowk)
The Inspector General of Police, North East Range Alok Kumar, told the public at an awareness program organized by the city police that following road rules in must to prevent road accidents.
He also showed pictures of road accidents to deliver his message. Bike riders in the Gulbarga/Kalaburagi city will have to wear helmets, and those driving cars must always strap their seat belts.
Public against Helmet Rule in Hyderabad Karnataka Region
It is interesting to be noted that since the last several years the city police has been trying to make helmets compulsory. The public complains that it is not possible to wear helmets in the hot climate of Gulbarga/Kalaburagi.
The temperature reaches a high of 45-degree Celsius during summers, the helmet rule is always relaxed during the summer season.
Follow rule or face fine
The public is advised to wear helmets and seatbelts while driving in and around the city. The city patrol ‘Interceptor’ has been advised to check people who break rules.
