Fake account used to post ‘derogatory’ post on Ambedkar using of Hardik Pandya’s name
Rajasthan Court ordered FIR against Hardik Pandya
A fake twitter account was used to send out a tweet in the name of the famous cricketer Hardik Pandya. This was revealed during preliminary investigations following a Rajasthan court order to file an FIR against the Indian national team crickets over his alleged remarks in a tweet on Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on Wednesday.
The official and twitter handle of Pandya is @hardikpandya7 whereas the twitter handle used to send out the Ambedkar tweet was a handle titled @sirhardik3777.
Fake Hardik Pandya Twitter Account Deleted
According to initial reports, the user of the alleged fake twitter account had apparently already been deleted and deactivated by the user.
The alleged tweet by Pandya had hurt the sentiments of the community of one D R Meghwal who had filed the petition against Pandya which was allegedly made on December 26 last year and the tweet was allegedly derogatory in nature to the maker of the Indian constitution.
The tweet read:“Which Ambedkar ??? The one who drafted across law and constitution or the one who spread the disease called reservation in the country.” This tweet was allegedly made by the imposter posing as Pandya on his twitter timeline.
An application was moved on Tuesday against this tweet by ‘Pandya’ by Meghwal who had been offended by the tweet, ostensibly because he is a member of the Rashtriya Bhim Sena in Rajasthan’s Jalore district. The sentiments of the community to which Ambedkar belonged had been hurt by the tweet in addition to it being an attempt at insulting and disregarding the very constitution of India and the person who created the constitution because of the tweet from a famous cricketer like ‘Pandya’, Meghwal stated in his complaint.
While the discovery of the fake account of Pandya was a relief to the cricketing community and cricketers in the country, another bit of news also heralded a respite for them.
Mohammed Shami Cleard of all Match-Fixing Charges by BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU)
The beleaguered Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was resolved of all charges of match-fixing, as alleged by his wife Hasin Jahan, after the completion of the investigations by BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) headed by Neeraj Kumar. The investigations had been ongoing for a week now.
Hasina had alleged that her husband Shami had accepted money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba and the UK based Mohammed Bhai in Dubai some time back. Investigations were being conducted against this allegation.
Shami said that he was always confident about his innocence, said the hurt but “relieved” pacer.
“I was under tremendous pressure but now I feel relieved after BCCI cleared me of wrong-doing. I was hurt that my loyalty and commitment towards my nation was questioned. But I had full faith in BCCI’s investigation process. I am looking forward towards getting back on the field,” Shami told the media.
The last two weeks had been amongst the toughest for him, said Shami.
“I had to go through a lot in the past 10-15 days. The charge of match-fixing specifically brought me under tremendous pressure. I will channelize my anger in a positive way on the cricket field. This decision has given me courage and motivation to perform on the field. I will make my bowling do all the talking now in the coming days. This is a big win for me and I am hopeful that in the coming days I will also be cleared of the remaining charges,” Shami later told the media.
